Built on Systems, Combat, and Second Chances
Jason’s stories are shaped by a lifelong love of epic fantasy, roleplaying games, martial arts, and the deep satisfaction of watching a character grow through hard choices and earned power.
Before turning fully toward fiction, Jason spent decades working with engineering, leadership, and complex technical systems. That background now feeds directly into his fiction, especially the detailed progression mechanics, skill structures, tactical problem-solving, and carefully layered systems that define his worlds.
His combat scenes are also shaped by real-world martial arts experience as a 4th Dan black belt in Ninjutsu, giving the action a practical, physical edge beneath the fantasy spectacle.
Growing up, Jason earned the nickname “Raven” — a detail readers may quickly recognize in his stories.
After surviving cancer at 57, Jason stepped away from the corporate world and moved toward a quieter life on a farm, where he now writes the adventures he had always wanted to read.
